Esmeralda is studying Law at Universidad Iberoamericana, during her studies she has participated in several projects such as the Alumni Society 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, she also participated in the drafting of an AMICUS CURIAE of the Brisa Angulo Losada vs Bolivia case, with a research focus on sexual rights. She also was part of the internal Moot 2021 Arbitration competition, and is part of Previhene por tu vida, S.C., where she develops and promotes social work on sexual rights.

Before joining the SMPS team, Esmeralda worked in the Intellectual Property area at AVA FIRM S.C., where she supported several IP and M&A (mergers and acquisitions) advisory projects.
