Alejandro is an associate in the Corporate Law area at SMPS. He has completed his Law degree at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).

Alejandro has experience advising clients on matters related to corporate compliance, personal data protection, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF), as well as the adoption of compliance and corporate governance standards.

Alejandro’s professional practice has primarily focused on the incorporation and regularization of commercial companies, the drafting and review of various types of agreements and contracts, the planning, drafting, and review of frameworks and documents related to personal data protection, the preparation and review of documents related to M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) transactions, as well as the design, review, and regularization of AML frameworks and policies for various companies and entities.

Before joining the SMPS Legal team, Alejandro gained professional experience in the Human Rights Violations Clinic at ITAM, focusing on serious human rights violations. He later began acquiring experience in Notarial (Corporate) Law at Notary Office No. 179 in Mexico City, where he was involved in drafting and reviewing various notarial projects.
