Claire has extensive experience in handling mergers and acquisitions, corporate and international transactions and business law, in general. 

Prior to joining SMPS Legal, Claire collaborated as General Counsel for Tribeca Asset Management Inc. in Bogota and prior to this position she worked as associate and partner for various international law firms in the United States. She was also Vice-President, Legal and Corporate Affairs of Oncopharm Corporation. In addition, she has acted as counsel for the General Consulate of France in Houston, Texas, for many years.  

Claire holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) – Louisiana State University Law School. 1987. Master’s degree of Business Law (LL.M.) – University of Paris I – Sorbonne. 1985. Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) – University of Paris II – Assas. 1984. Cum Laude. Degree in Legal Translation (Spanish) -Comparative Law Institute of Paris. 1984.

Claire is fluent in French, English and Spanish. She is member of The State Bar of Texas Professional Associations and The American Bar Association (ABA).
