Mario is an Associate at SMPS Legal, where he focuses his practice on Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), Financing, and Trusts. He has participated in complex corporate reorganization transactions, cross-border acquisitions, the formation of investment vehicles, and trust structures with corporate and financial components, advising both domestic and foreign companies in the implementation of their operations.

His practice centers on drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and agreements, including share and asset purchase agreements, investment agreements, credit and security agreements, as well as preparing corporate documentation and coordinating Due Diligence processes. He has also been involved in structuring investment, collateral, and administrative trusts, working closely with trust institutions, financial entities, and public notaries.

Prior to joining SMPS Legal, Mario began his professional career in the field of criminal litigation, which allowed him to develop a comprehensive understanding of law from its foundations. He later worked at the law firm Ibáñez, Fernández del Castillo, Malagón, S.C. (IFCM) in the Corporate and Tax Law areas, where he participated in legal audits, business restructurings, and tax administrative proceedings, strengthening his technical and regulatory understanding of corporate operations.
