SMPS Legal advises Mexamerik on the acquisition of a 51% majority stake in Transportes VIM
MEXICO CITY, MEXICO, May 14th, 2026 – SMPS Legal advised MexAmerik on the acquisition of a 51% majority equity interest in Transportes VIM. In parallel, the company’s existing shareholders acquired the remaining 49% interest. The transaction strengthens MexAmerik’s position in the freight and transportation sector and supports the expansion of its operational capabilities, enhances its logistics coverage, and accelerates its growth at a national level.
The integration is expected to enable the company to deliver more agile, scalable and efficient solutions, enhancing its ability to respond to evolving client needs, particularly in sectors where the timely and secure delivery of goods is critical.
SMPS Legal advised on the design and implementation of the tax and corporate structure of the transaction and assisted in the negotiation of the deal.
