Welcome José Gerardo Vázquez
New Compliance and ESG partner joins SMPS Legal
MEXICO CITY, MEXICO, January 1st, 2023 – We welcome our partner, José Gerardo Vázquez, to the SMPS Legal family, who will join the Compliance and ESG practice starting on the January 1st, 2023.
Prior to joining SMPS Legal as a partner, his professional career focused as in-house lawyer for different multinational companies in Mexico, Central America and Colombia. His strategic and commercial focus, mainly in the legal and compliance areas, have contributed to achieving business continuity and accelerating growth and profitability, always with a vision of prevention and proactivity, with adaptation and management of market uncertainties.
His experience applied to different industry sectors as an in-house lawyer for different companies has given him a competitive advantage, since the level of adaptability and knowledge towards clients allows him to create synergies to navigate the biggest challenges related to the sustainability of companies, and thus adopt the Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) standards, which have become essential for the survival of any business.
With the incorporation of José Gerardo, we increased the visibility of SMPS Legal both locally and internationally, and we strengthened a new practice within the firm that will provide more benefits to our clients and prospects and will support the integration of our current team in constant evolution of SMPS Legal.
