SMPS Legal sponsored the 13th Edition of the International Legal Alliance Summit & Awards in Paris
MEXICO CITY, MEXICO, June 10th, 2022 – On June 1st, SMPS Legal sponsored the 13th Edition of the International Legal Alliance Summit & Awards. The event brought together more than 450 senior representatives from leading law firms as well as general counsel from all around the world at the Pavillon d’Armenonville in Paris. Our partners María Teresa Paillés and Eduardo Pizarro Suárez participated in the event.
María Teresa was a speaker at the panel “Challenges & Opportunities in Europe, North & South America: Dealing with Specificities”, where together with Marina Avila Montequin, General Counsel in Europe, Africa, South America, and China at Aereolíneas Argentinas, and Valeria Schmitke, Latam Regional Counsel at Zurich Insurance Company, spoke about the main challenges that the worldwide market is facing such as the pandemic due to the covid-19 and the ongoing war in Ukraine, being the last one linked to high inflation risks around the world. Also, digitalization, sustainability, and social responsibility were crucial topics of discussion in this panel, both for law firms and companies in different sectors.
