Blockchain as an alternative to discourage tax evasion in Mexico.


MEXICO CITY, MEXICO, January 17th, 2022 –  Blockchain technology would contribute to generate information transparency, traceability, tracking and even reduction of tax collection costs.

Our partner Francisco Carbajal and Miguel Angel Alonso wrote an article released by Lexlatin whereby they analyze the alternative of using blockchain technology as an option to battle tax evasion in Mexico which would supplant the Digital Tax Invoice (“CFDI”), because, although many of the functions of the blockchain can be performed by CFDIs, from the point of view of the authors, there are some functional points that add value and that can only be achieved through this technology.
