Marco specializes in tax litigation and professionally, he has served as Legal Assistant in the Federal Court of Fiscal and Administrative Justice (TFJA), as well as Deputy Director and Director in various areas of the Taxpayers’ Ombudsman of México (PRODECON), being the last of these positions Director of the Conclusive Agreements. He also has experience in the private sphere, as an Associate in the litigation area of the Ortiz, Sosa y Asociados tax firm and currently as associate at SMPS Legal in the tax litigation practice.

He has participated as a speaker in various academic associations on issues related to Alternative Dispute Resolution Procedure in Tax Audits.

Graduated in Law from the University of Guadalajara (UDG), he also has a master’s degree in Business Law with a specialty in Tax Strategy from the University of the Americas Puebla (UDLAP), where he obtained the honorable mention “Cum Laude”.

Marco is an expert in the management of alternative means of dispute resolution and considers that mediation in tax matters, especially in the context of an audit, is the ideal mechanism to resolve highly complex disputes.
